Bon Odori 2009 Selangor, Malaysia @ Panasonic Sports Complex - Shah Alam,I was planning to bring my daughter to Bon Odori 2009 on this coming Saturday. However, the plan have to be canceled due to the current A H1N1 Flu Virus concerns. Latest statistic indicates that Malaysian A H1N1 has hit 835 cases which 30% of the cases are local transmissions.
To whom going to the event, please make sure that you are having good rest to ensure good body condition and immune system. Also, please don't attend the event if you are having flu or fever.

World Drums Festival 2008 Kuala Lumpur - Chapter 2World Drums Festival 2008 - Chapter 2 is currently running in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There were serveral roadshow done to promote its Grand Show at Dataran Merdeka on 2nd Aug 2008. There are 11 performers from 8 countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Ghana and Venezuela) in World Drums Festival 2008. I went to one of its road show at Berjaya Times Square with YeinJee on Wednesday. There were only 4 teams performed during this road show (2 from Indonesia, singapore and Thailand). Bon Odori 2008 - Panasonic Sports Complex - Shah Alam, Selangor, MalaysiaBon Odori has become a popular event in Malaysia and it is the 32nd Bon Odori (12th July 2008) at Panasonic Sports Complex this year. Besides the Bon Odori at Panasonic Sports centre, Shah Alam, Bon Odori is now available in Penang, Cameron Highlands and Johor. I did join the Bon Odori at Matsushita Sports Centre in 2003 & Bon Odori at Fort Cornwallis, Penang in 2004 (if I'm not mistaken). To me, Shah Alam's Bon Odori is a greater event and it is the palce where you can feel a better Bon Odori.

Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007 (18 Aug 2007 - 2 Sept 2007) 
Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007 is around the corner. It is going to start on 18 Aug 2007 (Saturday) and end on 2 Sept 2007 (Sunday). This would be the biggest fireworks show in Malaysia ever. Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007 is one of the celebration events for Malaysia's 50th year of Nationhood. Team from Australia, Japan, Italy and Malaysia will be competing in this competition and the winner will be awarded the Merdeka trophy. |
